Style Icon of the day: Rachel Bilson.

The Actress known for her roles s in The OC (t.v.show) as well as Jumper has exceptional taste.  Rachel Bilson is the epitome of street chic.  Included here are two of her most recent looks.  Note the chain purse in both pictures; a trendy piece for summer and making its mark in fall catalogs as well.  Also note the put together-while not trying too hard ensemble; always a sought after look which Rachel always seems to nail.

For my first post in my new fashion blog I want to start by talking about Fashion’s Night out which is on Thursday September 10th(information is in the above video).  I am terribly excited for this event and will be there without a doubt.  Fashion week starts the very same day and I only wish I were lucky enough to be attending some of the shows.

Although, I am not personally a huge fan of the lilac shorts shorts, high socks plus the black boot ensemble, I must say that the girl depicted can indeed pull it off.  As for the other outfit- I love the girly dress paired with the menswear type vest and the gladiators don’t hurt the look either.   The second outfit, in my opinion is put together better; however, lilac shorts gets points for creativity.
